HOW RON WORKS
How Remote Online Notarization Works
Remote Online Notarization (RON) lets you notarize documents from anywhere in the U.S. using a secure video call. Here's how simple it is:
1. Book your appointment. Contact me to schedule a time that works for you. I'll send you a secure link to our notarization platform.
2. Upload your document. You'll upload the document you need notarized and verify your identity through the platform using your government-issued ID.
3. We meet by video. You and I connect over a live video call. I confirm your identity, walk through the document with you, and witness your signature.
4. I notarize and send. I apply my electronic seal and signature, and the completed notarized document is delivered to you instantly.
The whole process usually takes 10-20 minutes. All you need is a computer, tablet, or phone with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and your government-issued photo ID.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What ID do I need? A valid, government-issued photo ID — driver's license, passport, state ID, or military ID. The name on your ID must match the name on the document.
What documents can be notarized remotely? Most documents can be notarized via RON, including powers of attorney, affidavits, bills of sale, and many real estate documents. A few exceptions exist (such as wills in some states), so contact me with your specific document and I'll confirm.
Is Remote Online Notarization legal in my state? RON is legal and accepted in nearly every U.S. state. Some specific documents may have additional state requirements. If you're unsure, message me with your document type and the state where it will be used.
How long does a notarization take? Most single-document notarizations take 10-20 minutes. Multi-document or estate planning sessions may take 30-45 minutes.
How quickly can you schedule an appointment? Same-day appointments are often available. Evening and weekend slots are common. Reach out with your preferred time and I'll do my best to accommodate.
Do you come to hospitals and nursing homes? Yes. I regularly provide mobile notary services at hospitals, nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and private homes throughout Rhode Island.
What payment methods do you accept? Cash, Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, and credit/debit cards. Payment is due at the time of service.
What if my signer isn't fluent in English? I must be able to communicate directly with the signer to confirm they understand the document. If a translator is needed, please let me know in advance.
What if I can't find my document or don't have it ready? Please have your document fully completed (except for your signature) before our appointment. Notaries cannot fill in or alter document content.
